Mom likes practical stuff, things she can use everyday and dad likes just about anything as long as it’s from me 
I’m thinking of buying a cake / cupcake and champagne or a bag. Please, I need ideas.

I started it to save money (you can buy more stuff for the money than what comes in those pre-made gift sets) but I’m really getting into it! You can make them much more personal too. For my dad I am making a basket with barbeque sauces and for my brother I am making one with movies and popcorn and I even found some of those movie box candies at wal mart (only 97 cents each!) and a big popcorn bowl to put it in.

I need to send a gift basket (around ) to a lady in Hawaii. I don’t really know much about her except that her husband is in the Army and that she is an animal lover. Anyone have any ideas on what to put in one or where I can get one?

I’m able to spend some money on gifts, but I wanted to put more thought into it and maybe make something.
For example, this girl posted on her blog a painting she had done for her boyfirned, and had poked individual fibre optics through the canvas to make stars.
Any ideas?

One of the gifts I gave Mom and Dad for their 50th Anniversary back in 2004. They eloped when Mom was 16 and Dad was 18. He was in the military and leaving for France, but they wanted to be married before he left. They will be together 56 years in June. Good people… You don’t realize how lucky you are when you are young. Some people never do I guess. But I have, and I will always be grateful for that.
